Chapter 1 General Clauses
Article | The name of the association shall be Taiwan College of Rheumatology (hereafter referred to as the Association). |
Article 2 | The objectives of the Association is to establish communication between the public hospitals, private hospitals and research institutions in Taiwan, conduct research in rheumatic diseases, promote the academic development and application of the field of rheumatology, facilitate communication with foreign rheumatology associations, and improve the health of Taiwan’s citizens. |
Article 3 | The Association shall be located at the site of the Taiwan central government |
Chapter 2 Missions
Article 4 | The missions of the Association are as follows:

Chapter 3 Members
Article 5 | The Association shall have three types of members: Individual, Sponsor, and Honorary Members.

Article 6 | Member Rights and Responsibilities

Chapter 4 Organization
Article 7 | The General Meeting shall be the body of ultimate authority of the Association. The Board of Directors shall become the ultimate authority of the association when the General Meeting is adjourned. The power of the General Meeting is as follows:

Article 8 | The election of the Board of Directors and supervisors shall be carried out as follows:

Article 9 | The Board of Directors and Supervisors shall provide a list of recommended candidates for the next election (added November 3, 1991). |
Article 10 | The Association shall appoint one Secretary General and several assistants, nominated by the President and Approved by the Board of Directors. The responsibilities of the Secretary General shall be as follows:

Article 11 | The Association may establish committees and their governing guidelines as it sees fit. The members of the committees shall be determined by the Board of Directors. The committee’s Chairperson shall be appointed by the Director of the Association. |
Chapter 5 Meetings
Article 12 | The Association may have regular and extraordinary General Meetings, both of which shall be called by the Board of directors. The regular General Meeting shall be convened once a year. The extraordinary General Meeting shall be convened at the pursuant of the board of directors or upon request by over one-fifth of the members. |
Article 13 | If necessary, the board of supervisors may call extraordinary meeting or joint meetings every four months. |
Chapter 6 Finance
Article 14 | Operation of the Association shall be funded from the following sources:

Articler 15 | Members who fail to pay annual dues for two years shall be suspended. Those who do not pay within the year after receipt of notice shall be automatically deemed as having withdrawn from the Association, and only restored after paying the past due amount owed. |
Article 16 | The funds of the Association shall be saved in a dedicated account and maintained by the Secretary General, and the account's deposits and withdrawals shall be carried out by the Association and the Secretary General. |
Article 17 | A financial report shall be compiled at the end of the year and sent to the Board of Supervisors by the Board of Directors for review and then to the General Meeting for approval. |
Chapter 7 Supplemental Provisions
Article 18 | Upon dissolution of the Association, residual assets shall be handled according to applicable laws and become the property of the local government organization or organization appointed by the competent government authority, and not of any individual or private organization. |
Article 19 | The bylaws of the Association shall be established by the Board of Directors and the Board of Supervisors. |
Article 20 | Matters not provided for in this Constitution shall be handled by the General Meeting or according to applicable law. |
Article 21 | This Constitution shall become effective upon adoption by the General Meeting of the members and filing with the Ministry of the Interior for confirmation. Amendments shall be handled in the same manner. |
